Founded Neomech with a simple philosophy: great people solve real problems. As Managing Director, he combines business and technical expertise with a pragmatic, outcomes focussed mindset. Andy is passionate about helping clients tackle complex challenges and turning ambitious ideas into reliable, high-performance solutions.
NICK HEIM
Founder & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
As one of Neomech’s founders and Technical Director Nick is passionate about engineering design and leadership, with a focus on building an inclusive culture that achieves engineering excellence. Outside of Neomech, he is an avid reader of a wide variety of genres, where he picks up new ideas and inspiration to fuel creative endeavours.

Quality & Safety Manager
With over 20 years in the aviation industry and extensive experience in quality compliance and auditing, Julia is passionate about helping organisations achieve excellence through practical and effective quality management systems. Outside of work Julia loves to spend time with her family and friends and enjoys travelling, exploring the world.
OWEN MATZ
Aerospace Engineer
Owen specialises in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), with previous experience in hypersonic vehicle simulations and thermal analysis. His role focuses on the aerodynamic analysis and flight dynamics of aircraft. Outside of work, Owen has a strong interest in motorsport, and loves camping and playing footy for the Freeling Football Club.
Mila Calitz
Mechanical Engineer
Mila specialises in solving complex problems through practical, detail-driven analysis. Her core expertise includes finite element analysis and structural design, drawing on experience in aircraft and maritime engineering. She also holds a degree in finance. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, playing board games, and expressing her creativity through landscape painting.
Ned Duggan
Mechanical Engineer
Ned specialises in airframe structural design, composite manufacturing and quality engineering. Interested in numerical stress analysis, solid mechanics and aircraft design, Ned is also studying physical simulations and kinematics using python and MATLAB. He enjoys playing basketball, walking his dog and watching the Crows win.
Lance Mihić
Aerospace Engineer
Lance specialises in aerospace propulsion systems, flight dynamics and control, and aircraft design. Outside of his professional life, Lance enjoys going to the gym, playing guitar and taking on his own personal engineering projects.
