ANDY OLIVER
Andy started his engineering career in the UK, working on Le Mans prototypes and Formula One cars. Structural Analysis quickly became an area of specialism for Andy, working on optimisation and weight saving in both composite and hybrid structures.
Moving into Defence in 2014 with Lockheed Martin UK, he was Chief Engineer and Head of Structural Analysis within the Special Projects Division. While working with Lockheed Martin, Andy got the chance to travel to Adelaide on a collaborative Government programme in 2017, and moved to Adelaide permanently in 2019. Andy formally confirmed Australia as home in 2024, becoming an Australian Citizen.
Andy has held Business Development and Management positions in both Engineering and Manufacturing businesses in South Australia before forming Neomech in 2024.
Founder & Chief Imagineer
NICK HEIM
His engineering journey began in Adelaide, where he honed his Design skills on a variety of high-profile projects within a small defence company.
This diverse experience instilled in him a profound understanding of the intricacies involved in developing and implementing innovative solutions.
Driven by a constant desire for new challenges, Nick transitioned into Project Engineering roles. Nick was responsible for projects across the aviation and defence sectors, further expanding his expertise by venturing into the maritime defence arena in 2023.
In 2024, a shared vision for the future of engineering led Nick to co-found Neomech alongside Andy. Here, they leverage their extensive experience to guarantee the technical excellence of every project undertaken.
